There is no cell phone reception, no internet service available, and no payphone. Camp Seely Caretaker can communicate only in case of a life threatening emergency.
The facility includes 60 cabins (each sleeps 4-5 people), modern restroom/shower facilities. The restrooms and shower facilities are a short walk away from the cabins. The beds are available but do not come with pillows or blankets.
Several options are available that include a playing field, game room, children’s play area, bonfire with seating arrangements, swimming pool (available only during summer) volley ball and basket ball courts and lots of great hiking trails.
The camp has a large kitchen, dining hall, and a bonfire pit.
Camp Seely is owned and operated by the Los Angeles Dept. of Recreation and Parks, under permit from the National Forest Service.
